Are You My Business Partner?

Are You My Business Partner?

It's official; I'm finally asking for help.

As someone who has always preferred maintaining full control over my life, I'm now raising the white flag. Over the past few years, I've experienced a whirlwind of emotions and health issues, which have raised a major red flag concerning my well-being. I am currently actively seeking a potential business partner who aligns with my art studio's (MTMT Studios) vision and mission, and who can help take it to greater heights.

I initiated my business in 2018 with the belief that I am capable of achieving so much more. I refused to let giant multinational corporations determine my worth solely based on their initial stage screening IQ tests. Just because I struggle with math and science, does that mean I can't be hired? I have so much more to offer, after all.

I may have been initially driven by a particular statement, which I'm not sure if I resented back then or wanted to prove wrong. An ex-boss once said, "𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒈𝒊𝒆, 𝒚𝒐𝒖'𝒓𝒆 𝒂 𝒋𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝒐𝒇 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕'𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒘𝒆𝒂𝒌𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔."

I think I'm done trying to prove something now. Maybe he was right, or perhaps it was a sign.

Being good at everything turned out to be a burden because I was doing everything on my own, unaware of the significance of delegation and leveraging. At times, I felt like I was drowning, staring at my never-ending to-do list.

I was quite angry when that statement was made, wondering, "𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕?" Well, now I understand. However, sometimes knowing everything can also be a strength because it helps you recognise where you need assistance.

I've listed some requirements I'm looking for in a potential business partner. I need someone who is essentially another version of me but healthier and more adept with numbers:

  • Must be healthy, and knows how to take care of his/herself.
  • Should be diligent and driven for success.
  • Must be reliable with strong business ethics.
  • Excellent communication skills are a must.
  • Passion for or experienced in the education business (with a preference for the art business).
  • Proficiency with numbers.
  • Able to actively participate in business operations, including managing operational staff, contributing to marketing strategies, devising growth plans, and providing hands-on teaching if necessary.

Willing to get hands dirty, both figuratively and literally.

Please note that the details of capital injection into the business can be discussed.

If you fit the bill, please connect with me so we can have a chat. Feel free to send me a direct message or email me at mtmtdesigns@gmail.com.
